Amitava Dasgupta

Amitava started his career as video Editor with a Multinational Company “Netguru India Pvt. Ltd.” in Studio Department of Kolkata and edited lots of Corporates, Documentaries, Short Films, TV series and Commercials. In 2011, He left his job and started to work as a full time freelance Film & Video Editor.

 

He was Nominated for Best Editor in IBFA( International Film and Bangla Academy ) awards, held in Bangkok 2012, for his work in the Feature Film JANALA (The Window) Directed by Buddhadeb Dasgupta.

 

He also got Best Editor Award for a short film Ghorsawar (The horse cart Wala)  directed by Mr. Pranabes Chandra which was screened in MELIORIST FILM FESTIVAL. 

 

 

Films/Documentaries edited by him have been selected in many International film festivals like Toronto International Film Festival, London International Film Festival, Philadelphia International Film Festival and have won appreciations and awards.

 

 

Apart from Editing he also nurtures another passion, which is travelling. He maintains a travel blog www.toursnfoods.com and a YouTube Channel  Toursanfoods (72k + subscriber ) along with his wife.
